Does this sound familiar?

You know a lot about yourself. Feeling it is another matter.

  • Your mind rarely switches off, even when you're tired.
  • You understand your patterns, but that understanding doesn't reach your body.
  • When someone tells you to 'just let go', your mind only works harder.
  • You'd like to try it, but you're afraid of losing control.

That isn't your fault. Your mind is doing what it was made for: protecting you. So we don't ask you to let go. We help you land first.

What it is

What is a truffle ceremony at Stars Frequencies?

A truffle ceremony at Stars Frequencies is a guided day of about 7 hours in Amsterdam, with meditation and live singing bowls (sound healing), for people who live in their head and want to feel again. Rosa guides you in a small group of up to 8 people (€295 per person) or privately (€495). You always start with a free 30-minute intro call.

Why land first?

At many ceremonies the message is: surrender. If you live in your head, that rarely happens on command. So the day here starts with meditation and sound, before the ceremony begins. At your own pace. Nothing has to happen.

How it works

How a truffle ceremony works, in 3 steps

Someone writing with a pen in an open notebook, preparing for a truffle ceremony
  1. 1

    Beforehand

    Free 30-minute intro call

A phone call. You share where you are and what makes you nervous. Rosa asks about medication and health. Together you decide whether a ceremony is right for you now. Even if the answer is no.

  2. 2

    At home

    Preparation and your intention

You receive a truffle guide with all the information, including what to eat and what to bring. You can start writing down what you'd like to explore. Don't drive that day, and keep the day after free.

  3. 3

    The day, about 7 hours

    Land first, then the ceremony

The day opens with a sharing circle, where everyone shares an intention. Rosa leads the meditation and plays the singing bowls live. The amount is tuned to each person, based on the intake and your experience. You close with a sharing circle, a healthy meal and a check-in a week later. Groups: 11:00-18:00 in Amsterdam, 10 minutes from Schiphol airport. Private: in Blaricum.

After the ceremony

What participants say after a truffle ceremony

  • A quieter mind
  • Feeling again, instead of only understanding
  • Going home feeling lighter
  • Seeing more clearly what matters to them

Every experience is different. These aren't promises, they're what participants told us.

And if you change nothing?

Then things will probably stay as they are: your mind keeps working overtime and feeling stays something for later. That's a choice too. An intro call doesn't commit you to anything.

Safety

How safe is a truffle ceremony?

Truffles are legal in the Netherlands. Every ceremony starts with a screening on medication and health, and Rosa is in the room for the whole ceremony.

  • Intro call and screening beforehand

Medication, health and contraindications are discussed. Rosa says no if it isn't responsible.

  • Rosa is present for the whole ceremony

She stays in the room as long as the ceremony lasts, and there is an emergency protocol.

  • Truffles are legal in the Netherlands

They are not covered by the Opium Act. Stars Frequencies works only with truffles, within the legal framework.

Not for you if

  • you're looking for a party experience or mainly a kick
  • you're looking for treatment for a mental health condition: a doctor or psychologist is the right place for that
  • one of the contraindications applies to you

A ceremony is not a replacement for medical or psychological care.

What should you look for in a truffle ceremony?

Whichever provider you choose, these questions help you decide:

  • · Intro call: is there a personal conversation and a screening on medication and health beforehand?
  • · The start of the day: how does the day begin, and what happens if it gets difficult?
  • · Legal status: truffles are legal in the Netherlands, dried mushrooms are not.
  • · Group size: how many people are in the group, and is private possible too?
  • · Guidance during the ceremony: does the guide stay in the room the whole time?
  • · Aftercare: is there contact after the day?
Frequently asked questions

Questions about the truffle ceremony

What if I lose control?

You don't lose consciousness. You know where you are, you can talk, move and always ask Rosa for support. And you don't have to let go of anything before you're ready. Meditation and sound healing with singing bowls are a fixed part of every ceremony: they give your mind something to follow and help your body settle.

What if it gets hard or I have a bad trip?

A difficult moment can happen. Sometimes something comes up that has been tucked away for a long time. You're not alone with it. Rosa is in the room for the whole ceremony. If someone panics, Rosa handles it with care and knows how to help that person calm down. A gentle touch only happens with your permission. In the intro call she checks beforehand whether a ceremony is right for you now.

How Rosa handles difficult moments →

I've never done this before.

About half of the participants are doing it for the first time. No experience needed. You start with a free 30-minute intro call (a phone call), then you get a truffle guide with all the information, and on the day itself Rosa is with you the whole time.

How to prepare for a truffle ceremony →

I'm coming alone and don't know anyone. Is that strange, and who looks after me?

Coming alone is not strange: many people come alone. Rosa is there all day and actively looks after the atmosphere in the group. The group is a maximum of 8 people, so nobody slips out of view. If you'd rather not be in a group at all, choose a private ceremony.

What does it cost, and what is included?

For €295 you get a full day in a small group: the intro call, preparation, meditation and sound healing, the ceremony, a meal and a check-in in the week after. A 1-on-1 truffle ceremony costs €495. For two people you pay €425 per person, for 3 people €350 per person and for 4 people €325 per person. Larger groups: on request. You only pay once the intro call shows that it's right for you.

Are truffles legal in the Netherlands, and is a truffle ceremony safe if I take medication?

Truffles are legal in the Netherlands, including in Amsterdam. They are not covered by the Opium Act; dried mushrooms are. Safety starts with the screening: in the intro call Rosa goes through your medication, health and contraindications. If you take medication, for example antidepressants, always mention it: with some medication a ceremony isn't possible, with others only after checking with your doctor. Rosa will honestly say no if it isn't responsible. During the ceremony she is present all day and there is an emergency protocol.
