At Stars Frequencies in Amsterdam, Rosa guides truffle ceremonies of about 7 hours, in a small group of at most 8 people (€295 per person) or privately (€495). A truffle ceremony is a day with a clear shape: preparation beforehand, a calm room, a small group or a private setting, and someone who holds the space from start to finish. Truffles are part of it, but they are not the point in themselves. The point is the time and attention you give to what's going on inside you.
It isn't a party and it isn't a test of how far you can go. It also isn't a replacement for care from a doctor or psychologist. It's a day to feel, reflect and rest, in a setting where you don't have to keep watch yourself.
Many people who come to Rosa know a lot about themselves. They've read, talked and analysed. They run their life from their head and would like to feel again, but they're afraid of losing control if they let go. For them, one thing is worth hearing first: letting go isn't a condition. It's a consequence.
A ceremony at Stars Frequencies doesn't start on the day itself. It starts with a free intro call of 30 minutes.
In the intro call Rosa listens to why you're coming and goes through your health, medication and contraindications. She honestly says no if a ceremony isn't responsible for you right now. We also tune the amount to you together. After that you get preparation for at home, so you arrive rested and with a clear idea of what you want to give attention to. The day takes about 7 hours. You're with at most 8 people, or on your own or with people you bring if you choose a private ceremony. Meditation and sound healing are a fixed part of every ceremony: Rosa plays singing bowls live in the room. They give your mind something to follow and help your body settle. Rosa is in the room for the whole ceremony. There is an emergency protocol, and a meal is part of the day.
What you experienced keeps moving in the days after. What you do after the day is something you discuss with Rosa beforehand. The page on integration after a ceremony explains why that time matters and what can help.
Nobody can tell you exactly what you'll experience, and we won't try. Experiences are personal. What participants describe varies: some mainly feel emotions that were kept at a distance, others notice their body, see images with their eyes closed or hear sound differently. Independent information from the Trimbos-instituut describes that music and sounds can come in intensely and that thoughts can be experienced differently.
What stays the same: you don't lose consciousness. You know where you are, and you can talk, move and ask Rosa to come and sit with you. You don't have to let go of anything before you're ready. If a difficult moment comes, and that can happen, you're not alone with it.

The Trimbos-instituut notes that the effect of truffles depends not only on the amount, but also on the person (set) and the surroundings (setting). A truffle ceremony is not without risk and not suitable for everyone. It isn't responsible if you or a first-degree family member ever had psychosis or schizophrenia, with bipolar I, during an acute mental health crisis or suicidal thoughts, if you take lithium or MAO inhibitors, with severe heart or vascular disease, unstable raised blood pressure or epilepsy, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. With SSRIs and SNRIs the effect can be strongly reduced or unpredictable, so always bring them up, and never stop medication on your own.
