A truffle ceremony is not a treatment for anxiety or panic. Some people who know a lot of anxiety do come looking for room to see it differently. At Stars Frequencies in Amsterdam you start with a free 30-minute intro call, and Rosa stays in the room for the whole ceremony.
Two kinds of fear meet on this page. The first is fear of the ceremony itself: what if I lose control, what if it gets scary, what if I can't come back? Almost everyone who signs up has that fear. It's a healthy response to something unknown.
The second is anxiety you've carried for longer: worrying, a heart that suddenly races, tension that won't leave. If that anxiety is so strong that it runs your daily life, a GP or psychologist is the first step. A ceremony is not a replacement for that.
Below you'll mostly read about the first kind: what happens, what Rosa does, and what stays in your own hands.
Letting go isn't a condition. It's a result. People who are afraid are often told to simply surrender. But fear doesn't leave on command. Here we start with landing, and you set the pace.
Which health situations rule a ceremony out, you can read on the page about safety and contraindications.
You arrive calmly. Rosa leads the meditation and plays the singing bowls live in the room. Your mind gets something to follow and your body can settle. Meditation and sound healing are part of every ceremony, private and duo ceremonies too. You don't have to let go of anything before you're ready.
For people who are afraid, safety starts with knowing what comes next. You know beforehand how the day runs. You arrive calmly, Rosa leads the meditation and the singing bowls sound live in the room. Your body gets time to notice that it's safe here.
A difficult moment can happen. You're not alone with it. Rosa stays in the room for the whole ceremony and there is always an emergency protocol. You can talk, move and ask Rosa to come and sit beside you. Difficult moments are part of it; they're not a sign that something is going wrong.
Say the fear does come up during the ceremony. You don't have to push it away. Rosa comes to sit with you, helps you slow your breath and stays until it settles. Difficult moments pass. They're not a sign that something is going wrong.
“At the hardest moment, Rosa stayed beside me.”
Every ceremony starts with a free 30-minute intro call. Rosa asks about your medication, your health and what feels scary to you. If a ceremony doesn't fit right now, she honestly says no. The amount is tailored to you together in the intro call.
With anxiety, the intro call matters even more. Rosa asks about earlier panic attacks, about medication and about what exactly feels scary to you. Sometimes the answer is that a ceremony isn't wise right now. Then you'll hear that honestly.
“The intro call put me at ease right away.”
Participants' own words. Everyone experiences the day differently; this is not a promise.
“For a long time I was afraid of a ceremony like this. Anxious about losing control and afraid of what might come up.”
“I was nervous beforehand, but Rosa's calm was contagious.”
No. Stars Frequencies offers a guided truffle ceremony for rest and reflection, not a treatment for anxiety or depression, and it doesn't promise that anxiety will go away. Truffles are legal in the Netherlands, but legal doesn't mean suitable for everyone. If you have an anxiety disorder or depression, your GP or psychologist is the first step.
A difficult moment can happen, even when you're well prepared. You're not alone with it: Rosa stays in the room for the whole ceremony and comes to sit with you when it gets heavy. She helps you allow the moment instead of fighting it. There is always an emergency protocol.
You don't lose consciousness: you know where you are, you can talk, move and ask Rosa to come and sit beside you. For people who know a lot of fear, letting go on command is often the hardest part. So we don't ask for it. Meditation and sound healing give your body something to rest on, and Rosa stays in the room for the whole ceremony. Letting go isn't a condition here. If it happens, it's a result.
It depends on the medication. Some don't combine with a ceremony, with others the effect can be different. Always discuss it in the intro call, and never stop medication on your own. The safety page lists the situations that rule a ceremony out.
A group ceremony costs €295 per person, with up to 8 participants. A private ceremony costs €495; if you come as two, you pay €891 together. The day lasts about 7 hours and always includes meditation and sound healing. You start with a free 30-minute intro call.
A ceremony is not a replacement for medical or psychological care.
