Truffle ceremony for people who feel stuck in their relationships

A truffle ceremony isn't couples counselling and doesn't resolve a conflict. Some people who feel stuck in their relationships do look for a day to come back to themselves: what do I feel, what do I want, where do I get defensive? At Stars Frequencies in Amsterdam you do that in a small group of up to 8 people (€295 per person) or privately (€495).

Truffle ceremony and relationships: the same pattern again

It isn't going badly, but it isn't going well either. You have the same argument in a new coat. Or you're single and notice you keep falling for the same kind of person.

Often it isn't about what the other person does, but about what it touches in you. You withdraw, or you start fighting. Your head knows it could be different. Your reaction is faster.

A ceremony isn't about your partner. It's about you: what you feel when you don't have to react straight away. Some couples choose a duo ceremony, others come alone.

What people often recognise

  • You keep having the same discussion
  • You withdraw when it gets tense, or go on the attack
  • You notice you're afraid of being truly seen
  • You fall for the same type, and it ends the same way
  • You only know what you felt afterwards
The point of view

Letting go isn't a condition. It's a result. In a relationship you're often told to open up. But openness can't be forced. Here you start with yourself, and the openness can follow.

Who is a truffle ceremony for relationships for, and who isn't it for?

A good fit if

  • You want to understand what happens in you when things chafe in your relationship
  • You both want to do a duo ceremony, each of your own free will
  • You're single and see a pattern returning in your relationships

Not a good fit if

  • There is violence or unsafety in your relationship: seek help first, for example via Veilig Thuis (0800-2000)
  • Your partner doesn't really want to, but is coming along for you

Which health situations rule a ceremony out, you can read on the page about safety and contraindications.

How the day begins

Landing in your body, without commands

You arrive calmly. Rosa leads the meditation and plays the singing bowls live in the room. Your mind gets something to follow and your body can settle. Meditation and sound healing are part of every ceremony, private and duo ceremonies too. You don't have to let go of anything before you're ready.

If you come together, you each start in your own place. Rosa leads the meditation and the singing bowls sound through the room. You don't have to discuss anything with each other. First, each of you with yourself.

When it gets intense

What Rosa does when it gets heavy during the ceremony

A difficult moment can happen. You're not alone with it. Rosa stays in the room for the whole ceremony and there is always an emergency protocol. You can talk, move and ask Rosa to come and sit beside you. Difficult moments are part of it; they're not a sign that something is going wrong.

Something may come up about the other person: anger, longing, old pain. Rosa helps you stay with your own feeling, without having to say it out loud or solve it straight away. She stays in the room and comes to you if you ask.

“At the hardest moment, Rosa stayed beside me.”

Beforehand

Intro call and screening: a conversation first

Every ceremony starts with a free 30-minute intro call. Rosa asks about your medication, your health and what feels scary to you. If a ceremony doesn't fit right now, she honestly says no. The amount is tailored to you together in the intro call.

In the intro call you explain why you want to come. If you come as a couple, Rosa talks with both of you, so she knows you both really want it. She also asks about health and medication.

“The intro call put me at ease right away.”

Questions

Questions about a truffle ceremony and relationships

Can we do a truffle ceremony together as a couple?

Yes. A duo ceremony is a private ceremony for two people and costs €891 together. You each have an intro call. During the ceremony each of you stays with your own experience. A ceremony isn't couples counselling: it's about what each of you feels.

What if I lose control during the ceremony?

You don't lose consciousness: you know where you are, you can talk, move and ask Rosa to come and sit beside you. For people who are often the strong one in a relationship, letting go on command is often the hardest part. So we don't ask for it. Meditation and sound healing give your body something to rest on, and Rosa stays in the room for the whole ceremony. Letting go isn't a condition here. If it happens, it's a result.

Do we have to talk to each other during the ceremony?

No. The ceremony isn't a conversation about your relationship. Afterwards there's time to share, if you want to. Many couples notice that they only find words for what they experienced in the days after.

Can I come alone with a question about relationships?

Yes. You don't have to bring your partner. Many people come alone, precisely because they want to feel what's going on in themselves, apart from the other person.

What does a truffle ceremony at Stars Frequencies cost, and how long is the day?

A group ceremony costs €295 per person, with up to 8 participants. A private ceremony costs €495; if you come as two, you pay €891 together. The day lasts about 7 hours and always includes meditation and sound healing. You start with a free 30-minute intro call.

A ceremony is not a replacement for medical or psychological care.
