A truffle ceremony doesn't work through grief in a day. Some people who feel stuck in loss do look for a safe, guided day to give their sadness room. At Stars Frequencies in Amsterdam, Rosa guides you in a small group of up to 8 people (€295 per person) or privately (€495), after a free 30-minute intro call.
Someone is gone. Or a relationship, a job, a future you had pictured. The world kept going, and so did you. You did what needed doing.
But the sadness found no place. Maybe you didn't cry at the funeral, or only there. Maybe you mostly feel emptiness, or anger, or nothing. Grief doesn't follow a schedule.
Some people then look for a day on which the sadness can simply be there, with someone nearby who can hold it. Not to close it off, but to feel it.
Letting go isn't a condition. It's a result. With grief, people often tell you to give it a place. That doesn't work on command. Here the sadness can simply come first.
Which health situations rule a ceremony out, you can read on the page about safety and contraindications.
You arrive calmly. Rosa leads the meditation and plays the singing bowls live in the room. Your mind gets something to follow and your body can settle. Meditation and sound healing are part of every ceremony, private and duo ceremonies too. You don't have to let go of anything before you're ready.
Sadness needs time to come. So the day doesn't start with the loss, but with your body. Rosa leads the meditation and the singing bowls sound softly. You don't have to tell or retrieve anything. Whatever comes can come.
A difficult moment can happen. You're not alone with it. Rosa stays in the room for the whole ceremony and there is always an emergency protocol. You can talk, move and ask Rosa to come and sit beside you. Difficult moments are part of it; they're not a sign that something is going wrong.
A lot of sadness can come, sometimes all at once. Rosa sits with you, stays as long as needed and helps you find your breath again. You don't have to stop the sadness. It can move through you.
“At the hardest moment, Rosa stayed beside me.”
Every ceremony starts with a free 30-minute intro call. Rosa asks about your medication, your health and what feels scary to you. If a ceremony doesn't fit right now, she honestly says no. The amount is tailored to you together in the intro call.
In the intro call you tell Rosa about your loss, as much as you want. She also asks about your health and medication. If the loss is very recent, she looks with you at whether it's better to wait a little.
“The intro call put me at ease right away.”
A truffle ceremony doesn't process grief for you and doesn't make sadness smaller. People do describe that their sadness got room during a guided day. Grief moves at its own pace. A ceremony can at most be a moment in which you let it come, with someone nearby.
You don't lose consciousness: you know where you are, you can talk, move and ask Rosa to come and sit beside you. For people who have tucked their sadness away for a long time, letting go on command is often the hardest part. So we don't ask for it. Meditation and sound healing give your body something to rest on, and Rosa stays in the room for the whole ceremony. Letting go isn't a condition here. If it happens, it's a result.
There's no fixed period. Shortly after a loss, a ceremony is often too much. Talk about where you are in the intro call, and Rosa will look with you for the right moment.
Ask in the intro call. Rosa looks with you at what fits your intention for the day. What else to bring is on the preparation page.
A group ceremony costs €295 per person, with up to 8 participants. A private ceremony costs €495; if you come as two, you pay €891 together. The day lasts about 7 hours and always includes meditation and sound healing. You start with a free 30-minute intro call.
A ceremony is not a replacement for medical or psychological care.
