Is a truffle ceremony right for me? An honest answer

11 juni 2026·6 min read time·By Rosa

The fact that you are asking that question already means something. Not everyone asks it. Most people scroll past a post about a ceremony and move on. You are here. Reading this. That says something about what is happening inside you.

Do you recognise this?

There is something in your life that does not feel right — but you cannot put your finger on it. Or you can name it, but you do not know how to change it. Maybe it is fatigue that does not go away no matter how well you sleep. Maybe it is a sense of distance — from your work, from the people around you, from yourself. Maybe it is thoughts that never stop. Or a pattern you keep recognising, but cannot break. Maybe you have already tried therapy. Or coaching. Or a holiday. And they helped — but not enough. Something sits deeper.

What it costs you to stay here

Not the ceremony — but here. In this pattern. In this exhaustion. In this not-feeling. A year ago it was like this too. Two years ago as well. You know how it goes when nothing changes: it does not go away on its own. Not because you have not tried — because you have. But because the kind of change you are looking for is not reachable via the path you already know.

Insight can only come from within

Here is something most providers do not tell you. A ceremony does not give you answers. It does not impose anything. There is no guide who says: 'Your problem is this, your solution is that.' Socrates called his method maieutics — the art of the midwife. He helped people give birth to insights that were already inside them. He asked questions until the knowledge came to the surface. A ceremony works exactly the same way. The active substance in magic truffles lowers the activity of the Default Mode Network — the brain network that is constantly judging, filtering and labelling. In that stillness, something else comes. Not from outside. From within. Your own truth. It is already in you. The ceremony clears the path.

Who it is for

A truffle ceremony is for you if you are willing to receive what comes up — even if it is unexpected. If you have tried many things and know the next step needs to go deeper. If you are looking for safety, not adventure. If you are willing to spend a day in stillness with yourself. You do not need to be spiritual. You do not need to be certain. You only need to be honest about what you are looking for.

Who it is not for right now

And honestly: a truffle ceremony is not right for you now if you are not ready. If you are in acute crisis — severe depression, suicidal thoughts, recent trauma that is still raw — this is not the right moment. If you use MAO inhibitors, lithium or antipsychotics, participation is not possible. Rosa assesses this in the intro call — and she says no honestly when it is not appropriate. Read more about the safety protocols and preparation.

The next step

If you have reached this point, you probably already have an answer. Not certain — but a feeling. Schedule a 15-minute intro call. Rosa asks you questions. You ask questions. At the end you will know whether this is the right moment. Via WhatsApp or via the ceremony page.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know whether a truffle ceremony is right for me?

If you have been carrying a feeling that something needs to change — but do not know how — that is a good starting point. The intro call is there to assess together whether it is responsible and meaningful for your situation. That call is free and without obligation.

Do I need to be spiritual to do a truffle ceremony?

No. Most participants describe themselves as grounded or sceptical. They are not looking for a cosmic experience — they are looking for breakthrough, clarity or calm. That is enough.

What if I have been in therapy for years — does a ceremony still help?

Especially then. Many participants describe the ceremony as a breakthrough they did not reach in years of therapy — not because therapy does not work, but because it reaches a different layer. Where therapy works intellectually, a ceremony works through the body and felt sense.

What if I am afraid that nothing will happen?

That fear is understandable — and the opposite of another fear many people also have. Both are normal. Rosa discusses this in the intro call: what you expect, what you hope for, and how to relate to the outcome, whatever it may be.

Who is a truffle ceremony not suitable for?

A truffle ceremony is not suitable for people with a history of psychosis, schizophrenia or bipolar disorder type 1, those using MAO inhibitors or lithium, those with serious heart conditions, or in acute mental health crisis. The intro call is mandatory — precisely to assess this.
