Red flag: no intake
Every serious guide conducts an intake beforehand. Always. This is not optional — it is a safety requirement. An intake is meant to assess whether you are suitable for a ceremonie at this moment, but also to prepare you mentally and emotionally. If there is no intake, do not go.
Red flag: promises of healing
'I guarantee you will be free from your depression.' 'After one ceremonie you will be completely free.' These are red flags. Magic truffles is powerful, but not a miracle cure and certainly not a guarantee. Serious guides speak of possibilities and processes — never of guarantees.
Ask about group size and setting
How large is the group? Are there multiple guides? How is the space set up? Small groups (max. 8-10 people) with multiple guides are a sign of quality. Large ceremonies of 20+ people with one guide are a safety risk.
Trust your feeling
After the intro call — how did it feel? Did the guide feel safe, grounded, present? Or was there something you couldn't quite place? Your intuition is a reliable sensor. A good guide inspires trust without you being able to say exactly why. If there is doubt: wait.
